The South Copeland GDF Community Partnership has reappointed its Chair, Andy Pratt, for another year.

Andy, who took on the role in June 2025, has helped guide the Partnership’s work and engagement with the local community.
Andy lives locally with his family and is a Cumberland councillor for the Millom Without Ward. He said: “I’m pleased to be continuing as Chair of the South Copeland Community Partnership for another year. The Partnership has made steady progress, and I look forward to building on that work and ensuring the community is informed, heard and involved in discussions about the GDF programme as it develops.”
Alongside his role with the South and Mid Copeland GDF Community Partnerships, Andy has been a school governor for the past 20 years. He is currently the Chair of Governors at Kirkland Academy, and the Chair of Drigg and Carleton Village Hall, as well as a Trustee of Drigg Young Farmers’ Club.
